After a little searching of the OLED tech, I reach some points of the advantages and disadvantages of it:
Advantages:
1. the thickness could reach an extent of smaller than 1 millimetre, which is one third thin as LCD screen, and the weight is lighter.
2.the physical structure is made of solid stuff, no liquid any more, so that the device could survive from an accident concussion.
3.the limitation on the visual angle of LCD devices is no longer a problem, and the screening quality could be guaranteed even if you capture the screen at a very large visual angle.
4.the responding time is only one thousandth of the LCD tech, therefore, there won't be any trailing smear when showing a motion.
5.the components could work well even if it stays at a very low temperature , which the LCD could not make.
6.the manufacturing technology is very simple and the cost is cutting downer.
7.the illuminating efficiency is higher and the power consuming is lower than that of the LCD's
8.it could produced in different boards with different material, which means the curly screen could be made.
Disadvantages:
1. the lifetime of the OLED device is only 5000 hours, which is far more smaller than that of LCD with 10,00o hours
2. it cannot support a massive production of large screen device, hence it is only widely used in the portable device like the MP3 Player.
3.the color purity is not enough, and it is not easy to display a bright and rich color type.
